Privacy & data

Fuel is a static nutrition journal. Your entries and goals are stored in this browser. Recovery snapshots keep up to 10 prior CSV copies in this browser. Use a device and browser profile you trust; disconnecting Google does not erase this local data.

Google Drive

Connecting Google uses Google Identity Services and the drive.file permission. Fuel can create files and access files you explicitly open with Fuel. Choosing an existing file uses Google Picker. The dashboard sends CSV data directly to Google Drive over HTTPS only when you load, create or save a file. Each overwrite creates a separate backup file in your Drive. Backups consume your Drive quota and remain there until you remove them yourself.

Credentials

The OAuth Client ID and an optional restricted Picker browser API key are public configuration. Fuel does not use a client secret. Short-lived Google access tokens are held only in memory, never stored in browser storage, CSV files or URLs. Refreshing or disconnecting drops the token. Revoke access in Fuel or through your Google Account’s third-party connections.

Other services & removal

Fuel loads Google’s sign-in library, and loads the Picker library when requested. Optional USDA search sends the food search terms to USDA FoodData Central. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, whose hosting logs may record ordinary web requests. Fuel adds no analytics or journal collection server. To erase device data, first export anything you want to keep, then clear this site’s browser storage. To remove Drive data, delete the journal and backup files in Google Drive. Clearing browser storage does not delete Drive files.
